Production Testing

Rolls-Royce Corporation Indiana USA

Dragonfly offers flexible test cell setups with signal conditioning specified in 8-channel blocks

Production test stands have 2-4 Dragonfly units that stream processed data to facility controls

Real time monitoring is used for system calibration and troubleshooting on-stand issues.

Raw test data is recorded for historical validation and preserved using Hercules for future analysis needs.

HGL Dynamics provides turn-key production data acquisition systems to Rolls-Royce Corporation for pass-off validation of production engines

Each system is 16-32 channels for core vibration signals

Dragonfly modules allow data acquisition to be close to the engine with per-module signal conditioning options. The entire system operates in an unconditioned space at temperatures above 120F at simulated high altitudes.

HGL developed customer specified processed data streams for real time data engine management by the customer data system to verify vibration requirements and sell each engine.

Raw data is archived to HGL’s Hercules Data Management System for long term storage and fleet data analysis

Architecture

Multiple test stands operate simultaneously and are operated independently. Each test stand comprises a single Hawk PC with monitoring station and streams processed parameters to the local control system.

All test data is recorded locally and automatically archives to the central Hercules computer for long term storage on tape media
